Story After Story, Book After Book
I’ve got about ten minutes to write before bed, so here goes. First off, I have, in fact, been writing pretty steadily. I can’t believe it, but it’s true.
I’ve managed to crank out around ten or so poems, work on some book reviews, finally pick a writing prompt from my huge book The Writer’s Block, and write a short story (still in progress) around it. Things are definitely looking well writing-wise. I just hope I can keep it up. Fingers crossed!
Anyway, I’ve noticed lately how so many authors keep cranking out story after story, book after book. I just can’t get my mind around it. I think to myself, “What would it be like to get paid for something you…

It seems so inconceivable and unachievable. But on the upside, many famous authors began writing as a hobby (John Grisham included). Who knows, maybe my time will come.
There are so many things to do, though. Teach, preach, read, learn, sell, make music, etc., and the list keeps on going. I feel like the Energizer Bunny or something! How do you make time for everything?
And if you can’t, how do you pick and choose? How do you decide between all the things you dearly wish to do—and still hold down a day job? What would it be like to quit that day job and earn money writing, for instance?
